You want this to be a no-stress, fun project so pick a trusted guy to do it & you'll be happy and glad you did when it's completed. "Search" & visit the shops you've mentioned & talk to the Independents too. 1st: Do you have a Budget or TimeLimit for The Conversion: I don’t since I had most of the performance parts lying around from my old TT, so it’s become a time-friendly, no-stress, fun project for me…..most of my Nice To Haves have turned into Must Haves. Might as well do this or that, since I’m in here 2nd: In addition to the full-time Z Shops, you should also consider using some of the “Independents” on this site who work on Zs for extra money. 3rd: The more I work on my car the more things I find I want to do, so that’s probably the double-edged sword of doing it yourself: Like: - replace the HC, since the last thing I want is an anti-freeze leak on my brand new carpet. And I might as well Dynomat the interior while I've got it all apart. - Clean-up & paint the engine bay: eliminating the clutch bleeder and then repaint the whole thing. - PowderCoat has now become a MustHave – might as well include the throttle bodies 4th: Trade-in your JWT ECU and they'll only charge you $150 to TT it. 5th: Get the 530BB turbos
